Weekends are supposed to be full of plans and opportunities to shop small!

Am I right?

Hey babes! How are we all doing?

I am writing this whilst creating a list in my head of what I need to pack for the weekend. This year there is a lot of market weekends that are back to back. So although, I only left London last Saturday, I am on my way back down south tomorrow! It has meant that this week has been a bit of a blur but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Another bank holiday weekend, another market! I find that bank holidays can be a little overwhelming in terms of making plans. My favourite thing to do is to have a wander in a nice area and shop both locally and from independents. What better way to do that than at a market? (Stoke Newington is also a wonderful weekend spot with food, a beautiful park and a street filled to the brim with independent shops and bars).

First things first, did you see my announcement this week? We have our first date of the year in Newcastle!

Northern Stage has a production of I, Daniel Blake on over the first weekend in June. They have got lots of events going on as well as the show, including a mini market hosted by Women Will Create!

This means that the market will have a slightly smaller number of vendors. We will be taking over the bar area and showcasing some amazing and talented small brands from the North East! Applications are still open for this and I will start shortlisting this week!

I am currently staggering application dates but here are some dates you can apply for!

Mercato Metropolitano

• 27th May (applications close this weekend and there are only a few spaces left)

Abney Public Hall

• 10th and 11th June
